"Kallie"
February 14, 1990 - April 10, 2002
On Janurary 10th, 2002 we took Kallie to see our vet because
she was losing weight and not eating. Bloodwork verified what we feared, our furbaby had cancer. Not only
did Kallie have lymphoma, she was also diagnosed with leukemia. Although we thought that we would be able to force it
into remission with meds and love, no matter what we did Kallie's body just couldn't fight it. We could soon see that
what we thought was 6 months to a year left with our furbaby was slowly dwindling down to just weeks and days. On April
10th, I was forced to make the hardest decision of my life. That night, we had to let go of our furbaby forever.
We chose to bury Kallie on Jeff's parent's land in New Waverly so that we could still visit her often. Kallie was truly
a bestfriend and we miss her terribly.

and bring you home again."

"Cassie"
1999 - Dec. 20, 2002
On December 20, 2002, we had to let go of our Boxer baby Cassie.
Earlier that week she began to act as if she wasn't feeling well and within 3 days she could barely stand. She was diagnosed
with Auto Immune Disease, which was causing her immune system to destroy her red blood cells. Although we could
have tried a blood transfusion, her prognosis was poor and we couldn't bare to watch her suffer. This literally
affects them overnight, so we were completely unprepared. How could we have lost her, so soon after losing Kallie?
Although she was only in our lives for a short while, she touched our hearts for a lifetime. She was buried next to
her sister, Kallie, on Jeff's parents land. May our two beautful furbabies keep eachother company until we can all be
reunited.
~ When we found you as a stray, we never knew just how
much joy you would bring to our lives. We thought we could find your "forever home" but from that moment, you knew that
you had already found it with us. ~
"Sonja"
July, 1983 - August 5, 2004
Sonja was a "dumpster" kitty that Kahla rescued (with the help of her family)
and bottlefed with an eyedropper in the summer of 1983 (this was the summer before Kahla started 2nd grade, so that
tells you how long ago it was). Sonja was the only one to survive out of the three kittens that were rescued that day
and we knew right away, she was a fiesty little girl. Kahla could have never imagined how much joy
and love Sonja would fill her life with for the next 21 years. Sonja was one of those "one person cats" and Kahla was
her "one person." It broke our hearts to lose her, but her age just finally caught up with her and we couldn't stand
to see her suffer. She will never be forgotten and we think that perhaps she will be a guardian angel to our little
one while we wait to meet again at Rainbow Bridge.
"Cats leave pawprints on our hearts forever."

Chigger was a "300 year" flood victimi that Kahla rescued in October 1994. She is our VERY shy girl!! We
named her after ChiggerRiggerRump, a really lucky racehorse because we figured she was really lucky to make it through the
flood.

A few pictures of Jeff's "pride and joy," Cleo (a.k.a. Cleo's Christmas Calling), who is definitely a "Daddy's
Girl". She was born on October 11, 1999 and was our first Larson furbaby after we were married.
This is our white boxer boy, Casper. He is deaf, but very smart! He knows hand signals for no, stay,
sit, shake, down, and come (when he wants to know that one). His breeder said he was a trash dog, we thinks he's a diamond
in the "ruff"!
Here are some snapshots of "The Unsinkable Molly Larson" (a.k.a. Molly), Kahla's Angel. We didn't
know it at the time, but right after we got Molly, Kallie was diagnosed with cancer. Molly never left Kahla's side
and knew just how much Kahla needed her. Their favorite time is summer, when Kahla is off from work and they go
everywhere together. Kahla even paints her toenails, but then again, Molly lets her! Ever hear of angels on earth?
You're looking at one (well, most of the time).
This handsome fellow is Houdini, another rescue. Kahla's Mom found him in the bushes in 1995 and he
weighed in at a whopping 7/8ths of a pound. He's now grown to a healthy (and heavy) 16+ pounds!
This is our newest addition, Pumpkin. He was roaming the neighborhood and we just couldn't resist
the sweet little guy.
