Tidbits and other useless facts about Jeff and Kahla!
- Jeff is 32 years old, Kahla
is 28 years old, and we are expecting our first baby, via IVF/ICSI, on March 10th, 2005!
- Jeff was born and raised in Texas, while Kahla was born
in Alaska, but moved to Texas while in grade school.
- We live in one of those teeny tiny "don't blink or you'll miss it kinds
of towns in SE Texas.
- We were engaged Dec. 22, 1998 and were married on Aug. 21, 1999.
- We spent our honeymoon in Orlando, Florida. We stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort at Disney World for four days and
Universal Studios for two (got out just before the hurricane hit).
- Jeff was in the Coast Guards but received an honorable discharge when they
realized he only had one kidney. They had no clue until he received some x-rays for other reasons and they just happened to
get high enough to notice... who'd have guessed!
- Kahla graduated from Sam Houston State
University with a B.S. in Elementary Education May 4, 2002 and teaches 1st grade.
- Jeff has one younger brother, Chad, and Kahla has one older brother, William. William is married to Alisa, who is
an AWESOME SIL!
- Kahla's mom lives about 50 miles south of us in Houston, but they talk every day. Jeff's parents
live about 8 miles north of us, in another teeny tiny "don't blink or you'll miss it" kinda town.
- Jeff "loves" to hunt and fish, Kahla will pass on the hunting, but loves the fishing!
- Jeff and Kahla are both animal lovers!
- Jeff and Kahla's first "alone" date (not double-dating) was a visit to court! Kahla had gotten a speeding ticket
(in her defense, it has been her ONLY ticket) and had to go to court because she had forgot to mail something in with it.
Jeff, being the gentleman he is, didn't want her going alone!
